Manouchehr Shamsrizi, der Kopf von Retro-Brain R&D, wurde von der Zeitschrift Capital zu einem der „Top 40 unter 40“, also einem der wichtigen Macher in Deutschland gewählt. Sein Unternehmen entwickelt besondere Spiele zum Einsatz bei kranken und alten Menschen.

RetroBrain-Gründer und Ideengeber Manouchehr Shamsrizi nahm vergangene Woche in Berlin eine ganz besondere Urkunde entgegen: Der gebürtige Hamburger wurde in die diesjährige "Top 40 unter 40" des Wirtschaftsmagazins CAPITAL gewählt. Die medizinisch-wissenschaftlich hergeleiteten Spiele von RetroBrain R&D gelten als “a benchmark in the therapeutic gamification industry” (LIFT Basel) und werden inzwischen im ganzen deutschsprachigen Raum von Altenheimen, Krankenhäusern und Mehrgenerationenhäusern eingesetzt. Gemeinsam mit der BARMER, der Humboldt-Universität, Microsoft und der Diakonie wird die Wirkung der "MemoreBox" auf Seniorinnen und Senioren überprüft. In einer breit angelegten Studie erhoben, sind erste Zwischenergebnisse sehr erfolgversprechend. In Hamburg wird das StartUp u.a. vom städtischen InnoRampUp-Programm sowie dem Landesministerium für Gesundheit unterstützt, und forscht gemeinsam mit der UKE an Weiterentwicklungen. Zukünftig sind Lösungen für den Einsatz bei Parkinson, der neurologischen Frührehabilitation oder auch in der Anästhesie geplant.

Manouchehr Shamsrizi engagiert sich darüber hinaus im Netzwerk gamecity:Hamburg, ist Co-Founder des gamelab.berlin und Lehrbeauftragter für Gamification und Zukunftstechnologien an der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg.
