Auf der Tokyo Games Show 2018 wird es zum zweiten Mal einen deutschen Gemeinschaftsstand geben, gab der "game - Verband der deutschen Games-Branche" bekannt.

Anders als bei der erfolgreichen Premiere im vergangenen Jahr wird der German Pavilion 2018 durch das Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) unterstützt und entsteht in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ausstellungs- und Messe-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft e.V. (AUMA). Die Koelnmesse GmbH wurde mit der Durchführung des Pavillons beauftragt. Die Tokyo Games Show ist die wichtigste Messe für Computer- und Videospiele in Japan und zog alleine im vergangenen Jahr über 250.000 Besucher an. In diesem Jahr wird die Games-Messe vom 20. bis 23. September stattfinden. Informationen zur Bewerbung um einen der begehrten Plätze auf dem deutschen Gemeinschaftsstand folgen in den nächsten Wochen.

„Die Tokyo Games Show gehört weltweit zu den wichtigsten Veranstaltungen der Games-Branche und ist damit auch für deutsche Spiele-Entwickler eine hervorragende Chance ihre Spiele in Japan präsentieren zu können, einem der wichtigsten Games-Märkte überhaupt“, sagt Felix Falk, Geschäftsführer des game. „Wir freuen uns über die Unterstützung durch das Bundeswirtschaftsministerium. Sie zeigt abermals: Games sind ein hervorragender Botschafter der deutschen Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft und sie haben besonders großes Potenzial, Millionen Menschen weltweit zu erreichen.“

Recap: Road to gamescom 2021

With the Road to gamescom program five studios and developers from Hamburg presented themselves at the digital Indie Arena Booth Online, a virtual online multiplayer, where visitors could walk around in the creative world of the "Summercamp of Doom" to play, chat, and find out more about 120 indie games at 13 different online worlds.

Kick-off for Games Lift Teams 2021!

It’s on: Yesterday, we kicked off the intensive phase of Games Lift Incubator 2021 together with the five dev teams from Hamburg. For the next three months, the teams will be able to fully concentrate on their game ideas and attend workshops and individual mentoring sessions with international industry experts.

Games Lift Incubator: these are the five teams 2021

Five up-and-coming game developer teams from Hamburg convinced the awarding committee with their project ideas, pitching their way into the Games Lift Incubator 2021. The incubator program starts on September 9 and aims to prepare the teams for the challenges of developing and marketing their games projects in the international markets – through start-up funding of 15,000 euros per team and an intensive three-month workshop and mentoring program under the guidance of international industry experts.
